2 September - Spa-Francorchamps

A weekend in Brussels is a delightful experience. The Grand Place is the historic centre with grand architecture, flower markets and traditional cafes. There are plenty of late night eateries in the narrow, winding streets behind the Grand Place and in the Summer months it is lively into the early hours. There are designer shops and nightclubs on the Avenue Louise and in the Sablon you will find the antique dealers and tucked away bars and restaurants. You can spend three or four nights with us in Brussels flying from a selection of UK airports or by Eurostar train from London St Pancras. Daily track transfers are, of course, included. 

The Spa-Francorchamps circuit is so close that driving is also a popular option. Our hotels are in Liege or the village of La Gleize just ten kilometres from the track. In the heart of the Ardennes, the scenery is majestic with steep, densely-forested hills and deep river valleys. The flexibility of driving to the circuit each day also gives you the chance to explore some of the towns and villages in the area and to find some excellent restaurants.

3 or 4 nights in Brussels by Air or by Eurostar

You can fly direct to Brussels from a choice of regional airports or travel by Eurostar from St. Pancras Station directly to the Gare du Midi and reach the centre of Brussels in under two hours. Our hotels are centrally located, offer excellent facilities and are within walking distance of the Grand Place. We include circuit transfers each day and you will be well looked after by our Grandstand representatives.

Thursday 30 or Friday 31 August

Fly from your chosen airport or take the Eurostar from London St. Pancras to Brussels. On arrival make your way to your hotel where accommodation is reserved for you for four or three nights on bed and breakfast basis.  After checking in the day is free to enjoy as you wish.  Our representatives will be available to help and advise you.

Friday 31 August, Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 September

At leisure, or join our coach for an early departure to the circuit for F1 practice and qualifying, supporting events and the Grand Prix.

Monday 3 September

After breakfast check out of your hotel at your leisure and in good time to make your way to the airport or to the Gare du Midi to check in for your flight or Eurostar to the UK.

Flights from alternative regional airports can also be reserved for you - just call us and tell us your nearest airport and we will advise you on availability and any applicable supplements. Hotel Ibis Saint Catherine ***

This hotel is in a great location, close to the Grand Place, the main shopping area and to some of the finest fish restaurants in the city. Rooms are modern and compact with bathroom, air-conditioning and TV. The hotel has a 24-hour reception and bar. Buffet breakfast is included.

NH Atlanta Hotel****

An excellent hotel located on a main boulevard and less than ten minutes walk to the Grand Place.  Facilities include a stylish bar and restaurant, sauna, steam bath and fitness room. All rooms are well equipped with TV, minibar, tea and coffee tray, safe and air-conditioning. Buffet breakfast is included.

3 or 4 nights by car

Thursday 30 or Friday 31 August

Check in at Dover for your crossing to Calais. P&O operate frequent crossings and you can choose your preferred timings. On arrival continue through northern France and Belgium to your hotel where accommodation is reserved for you for four or three nights.

Saturday 1 & Sunday 2 September

Free to come and go as you wish to the circuit at Spa-Francorchamps.

Monday 3 September

Check out of your hotel and return to Calais in good time for your return ferry.

The prices below are per person and based on Dover to Calais crossings for two to four people per car and the shared occupancy of a twin or double bedded room in Liege and up to four people per apartment in La Gleize.

If you prefer to travel from Folkestone to Calais by Eurotunnel we can arrange this for you - a supplement will apply. Please ask for details.

Hotels

 Ibis, Liege**

A comfortable hotel in a suburb of Liege just 10 minutes from the centre. There is a secure car park and drinks and snacks are available. Bedrooms have shower, WC, TV and telephone. A continental buffet breakfast is included.

Campanile, Liege***

A pleasant and welcoming hotel close to the centre of Liege with ample guest parking. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and the ‘New Generation’ rooms are newly refurbished with bathroom, TV, telephone and courtesy tea and coffee tray. A continental buffet breakfast is included.

Aux Ecuries de la Reine, La Gleize

A small holiday village located in La Gleize which is just 10 kms from the circuit. The apartments are spacious and have a bathroom with shower and separate wc. The lounge is comfortable and has TV and radio and the kitchen, should you wish to use it, is very well-equipped. All linen is provided. Within the village there is ample guest parking and an inviting heated swimming pool in the garden. The prices are based on up to four people sharing an apartment and breakfast and a four course dinner daily are included. The restaurant has a well-deserved excellent reputation. Stays for longer than four nights are available on request.

The Circuit & Race Tick ets

The circuit weaves through the forests in a series of rises and falls and grandstands are numerous. However, if you are prepared to walk a general admission ticket is all you need for incredibly memorable race viewing.  We recommend the grandstands listed below for their location on the track.

Grandstands Gold 1, 2, 3 and 8 are covered and all grandstand seats are numbered. 

There are giant screens opposite all stands and around the general admission area. Reduced price tickets are available for children under 15 years of age.
