Open Championship. Last year New Zealands Michael Campbell
became a National hero after he held off the challenge of Tiger Woods
to win the Open and become the first New Zealander to win a major since

re-opened Hipodromo de la Zarzuela in the north-west suburbs of Madrid
(a 20 minute taxi ride) stages Sunday meetings throughout the
year (except Dec- Feb, Jul and Aug).
The
racecourse and it's unique grandstands which attract architects from
around the world has an idyllic setting and looks onto the
protected "El Pardo" estate of the King of Spain. A
chance to explore Spains beautiful capital city with it's parks,
museums and art galleries while at the same time attempting to relieve
the Spanish racecourse of a few euros. There may even be the
